Transfer Process

UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE

The student interested in transferring to the University of Louisville must meet the following requirements:

  • Take a total of 60 approved credits.
  • Meet the minimum admission requirements of the bachelor’s degree of transfer interest to UofL.

Complete University of Louisville application.

  • Application deadline: Spring (October), Fall (May)

Submit financial certification.

  • The interested student must request a balance letter from a bank certifying that he has a minimum of $26,000.
  • If your funding is through a government institution, you must submit where they indicate the approved amount.

Once the above requirements are met, the UofL admissions department and International Center process the student's admission. This process can take about a month and a half to two months.

After UofL reviews and approves the applicant's academic and financial documents, the student will receive the I-20 form from the U.S. government. This form is the document that certifies that you are eligible to apply for the F-1 student visa.

The student must apply for the F-1 student visa, enter the United States consulted page, and complete the DS-160 form.

The student must pay the U.S. government the visa, SEVIS, and reciprocity fees.
